Nobody Wants Me (1990)
The Radar read
A quieter title still finding its audience, though the rating rests on a thin sample, so treat it as provisional.
Synopsis
Ten-year-old Manuel and his 15-year-old brother Holger have lived with their father since he divorced their mother. Their grandma often takes care of them. As Manuel visits his mother, he finds out about her plans to go on a honeymoon with her friend Robert. Manuel, who wants to go on holiday with his mother, is upset about this and doesn't return from the visit. His father thinks the mother kept Manuel and requests a house search. Meanwhile, Manuel accommodates himself at his teacher's and astonishes her with inexplicable reactions until she realizes that Manuel is just looking for love and attention. The plot is interrupted by several cutbacks from Manuel's memories of the parent's conflicting relationship.

Open Double Feature RadarRadar blends quality, momentum and freshness into one “what to watch now” number — so a great older film can sit lower than a rising new release. The Quality signal above is the time-neutral rating, which is why an acclaimed classic keeps a high quality score even when its Radar number is lower. Radar outputs are editorial algorithmic recommendations, not objective facts, and may change as signals update. A Radar score is not the same as a TMDB, IMDb or critic rating.
