CET HOMME DERRIERE LA VITRE (1980)
The Radar read
A quieter title still finding its audience, though the rating rests on a thin sample, so treat it as provisional.
Synopsis
This film is the confession of a man whom society usually describes as mentally ill. It allows us to discover a being endowed with rare qualities of soul and spirit. It is also a testimony sometimes funny, sometimes tender, sometimes bitter and upsetting on the itinerary of an individual stuck between society, family, psychiatric institution and himself. Jacques Zelnio died in 1989 after having lived as a recluse at his parents' place, in a room of 10 m2 from which he only went out on very rare occasions... to be prescribed tranquillizers.

Open Double Feature RadarRadar blends quality, momentum and freshness into one “what to watch now” number — so a great older film can sit lower than a rising new release. The Quality signal above is the time-neutral rating, which is why an acclaimed classic keeps a high quality score even when its Radar number is lower. Radar outputs are editorial algorithmic recommendations, not objective facts, and may change as signals update. A Radar score is not the same as a TMDB, IMDb or critic rating.
